Christmas 2007:
BBC One - Voyage Of The Damned (60 minutes)
Just 6 days till BBC One http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcone airs the annual
Children In Need telethon (16 November starting 7PM GMT). As in 2005,
there will be a mini Doctor Who episode, this time titled "Time
Crash". Peter Davison returns as The Doctor, in the first cross over
between his Doctor and David Tennant's version. The episode is
presumably 7 minutes long. No start time is known, but based on the
Radio Times listings it is in the first half of the telethon (7PM to
10PM). The 2005 episode ran at different times in different BBC One
regions, but all regions included it. BBC Prime no longer carries the
Children In Need telethon, so this mini-episode will not air in BBC
Prime regions. The telethon is simulcast on BFBS1 and BFBS Navy for
UK servicemen and women overseas.
Denmark Doctor Who fans are getting Series 1 repeats on DR 1 at 2:45PM.
Norwegian Doctor Who fans can see Series 1 for a third time starting tonight at 8PM on NRK3 (previously ran on NRK2). No sign of Series 2 or 3 yet.
IllusionTV http://www.illusiontv.com , a service that provides sci-fi
and fantasy shows to US cable companies' on-demand programming
lineups, has announced that they will offer the classic Doctor Who
series beginning in January 2008. It is unknown at this time how many
stories will be offered. IllusionTV notes on their website that there
is no cost to see their shows on demand beyond a customer's existing
digital cable subscription. Shows do have commercials in order to pay
the costs of the service. A pre-Doctor Who David Tennant can be seen
in the 2005 Quatermass remake this month through the IllusionTV
service.
Torchwood schedule information is included in the Torchwood This Week
column http://groups.yahoo.com/group/torchwood .
